Elections to 199 of the 200 Assembly seats in Rajasthan were held on December 7 . It will decide the fate of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who is facing a tough challenge from a resurgent Congress led by PCC chief Sachin Pilot.
Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer has revised the polling figures till 5 p.m. to 72.83%. Earlier, just after the polls ended at 5 p.m., the percentage was put at just over 72%. The voting percentage till 5 pm time was 72.37, according to the Election Commission website
The highest turnout at 86.87% has been recorded in Pokhran, famous for the 1998 nuclear tests.
The results will be declared on December 11.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot and other leaders were among those who exercised their franchise. Raje (Jhalrapatan), Pilot (Tonk), former chief minister Ashok Gehlot (Sardarpura) are among the 2,274 candidates in the fray.
