Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Thursday that he will give a befitting reply to all the allegations made by RJD chief Lalu Prasad and the remarks of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi at an opportune time.
He maintained that his decision to join hands with the BJP was in the interest of the state.
“Will give befitting answers,” Nitish Kumar told reporters when his response was sought on Lalu Prasad’s allegations.
According to various media reports, after taking oath as Chief Minister again , Nitish Kumar said that development of Bihar and justice was his priority.
“My commitment is for the people of Bihar and for the development of Bihar. The decision is in Bihar’s interest and for its development. This is a collective decision. I will continue to serve the people of Bihar,” Nitish Kumar said.
Lalu Prasad has alleged that Nitish Kumar has betrayed the people of Bihar+ and resigned as chief minister of the grand alliance not because of corruption allegations against Tejashwi Yadav but due to a murder case against himself.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi also hit out at Nitish Kumar for joining hands with the BJP, alleging that he had returned to the “communal forces” for his selfish political motives.
Rahul, whose party was part of the Grand Alliance in Bihar, said that he was aware that the split was being planned for the last three-four months.
“He (Nitish) had joined hands with us in the anti-communal fight, but Nitish Kumar, for his personal politics, joined hands with those against whom he had fought,” said a seething Rahul.
The chief minister said that he would take the state to new heights of development.
Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the chief minister+ of the state along side senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, who will be his deputy in the new government, at the Raj Bhavan in Patna.
