The Argentina Football Association has made an official announcement about Lionel Messi and the argentina national football team will come to Kerala from November 10 to 18, 2025, to play in a historic friendly match against a FIFA Top 50 team at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
This announcement comes after months of speculation and puts Kerala in the spotlight as the proud host of the most anticipated sporting event in India. Football fans across India will see the most current and reigning world champions live in what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime football experience, with Reporter TV as the official sponsor of the event.
Kerala’s Sports Minister, V. Abdurahman, welcomed the announcement with the following statement “Football is a passion and a tradition in Kerala that has grown for generations. Messi coming to Kerala will not only bring excitement to the fans, but also leave a legacy for the youth to aspire to by dreaming big in football, while also bringing the small local community Keralan football spirit to life.
