Indian rowing team has come to the party at the 1th Asian Games. The rowers with their sterling feats have added more medals to India’s tally . They won one Gold and two Bronze medals .
The Indian team comprising the quartet – Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh clocked a timing of 6:17.13 to win Gold in Quadruple Sculls.
Dushyant Singh won India’s first rowing medal at the ongoing Games, claiming a bronze in men’s lightweight single sculls
Rohit Kumar, Bhagwan Singh clocked 7:04.61 to win the Bronze in Lightweight Double Sculls. Japan’s Miyaura Masayuki and Takeda Masahiro won the gold with a timing of 7:01.70 while Koreans Kim Byunghoon and Lee Minhyuk (7:03.22) bagged silver.
