#TATAIPL-2026-36 : Pat Cummins Returns , Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan Help Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat Rajasthan Royals By 5 Wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad boosted by the return of their regular captain Pat Cummins produced  clincial performance to beat Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets in yet anothetr high- scoring Tata IPL 2026 encounter.

Earlier SRH Skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to field first. RR lost opener Yashasvi Jaiswal early for 10 with the total at  29-1, 1.2 overs . Then followed a superb stand between Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel. The duo put RR on track for big total .  Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hit blistering 103  ( 37 balls , 5 fours, 12 sixes), Jurel hit 51 ( 35 balls, 8 fours ,1 six) . RR Skipper Riyan Parag was bowled by his rival Skipper Cummins for 7 , Donovan Ferreira 33, Shimron Hetmyer 11 . Ravindra Jadeja not out 4 , Jofra Archer not out 2 as RR posted an impressive total of 228/6 in their 20 overs.

SRH Bowling : Pat Cummins showed his class on return with fine figures of 1/27 ( 4 overs) on wicket that favoured the batsmen. Praful Hinge 1/49 ( 4 overs), Eshan Malinga 2/38 ( 4 overs), Sakib Hussain 1/62 ( 4 overs), Shivang Kumar 0/31 ( 2 overs), Nitish Kumar Reddy 1/20 ( 2 overs)

In reply chasing 229 for victory SRH lost dangerous Travis Head for 6. But Abhishek Sharma 57 ( 29 balls , 11 fours, 1 six) and  Ishan Kishan 74  (31 balls, 11 fours 3 sixes)put the chase on track . Bot batsmen made batting look easy and treated the bowling of RR with disdain. Heinrich Klaasen 29 ( 24 balls , 3 fours, 1  six), Nitish Kumar Reddy 36 ( 18  balls, 2 fours,  3 sixes)  ensured SRH never lost the momentum .  Salil Arora not out 1 and Aniket Verma not out 1 saw SRH home by five wickets . SRH reaching 229/5 in 18. 3 overs
