#INDvNED-T20-WorldCup-2026 : Shivam Dube, Varun Chakaravarthy Shine As India Beat Gritty Netherlands By 17 Runs

Defending Champions India  maintained their clean record they beat Netherlands In their final Group A game by  17 runs  at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad.  Earlier , .India Skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bat first .

India opener Abhishek Shrama’s horror run continued as he was dismissed for 0 for third straight time.  Hero of the tie against Pakistan ishan Kishan was out for 18  . Tilak Varma  scored 31 . Skipper Suryakumar Yadav just when he looed good for big one fell for 34 .  All- rounder Hardik Pandya chipped in with 30.

The Indian innings impetus was given by tall left-hander Shivam Dube who smashed a blazing 66 ( 31 balls , 4 fours, 6 sixes) and helped India reach a defendable total  . Rinku Singh was not out 6. As India finished strongly with 193/6 in their 20 overs.

In reply one saw the Dutch batsmen get starts but could not carry on to score a  big one . And this dented their chase .  Their scores said it all –  Michael Levitt ( 24) , Max ODowd ( 20), Bas de Leede ( 33), Colin Ackermann ( 23), Aryan Dutt ( 0),  Skipper Scott Edwards  ( 15), v Zach Lion-Cachet ( 26). Noah Croes not out 25, Logan van Beek not out 4. The gallant Dutch who gave good account of themselves the tournament could make 176/7 in their 20 overs.
