#TATAIPL-2026-66: Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill Slam Fluent Haf-Centuries; Bowlers Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, Rashid Khan Take 3 Wickets Each As Gujarat Titans Rout Chennai Super Kings By 89 Runs

Rampant Gujarat Titans  came out with a superb all- round show to thrash five time winner Chennai Super Kings by 89 in a Tata IPl encounter at the Narendra Modi stadium. , Ahmedabad. The defeat saw the men in yellow crash out of the tournament with 6 wins and 8 losses .

Earlier, CSK Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to filed first . GT batsmen came out all guns blazing to which CSK bolwers had no answer. GT openers  Sai Sudharsan and Skipper Shubman Gill showed the way with big 100 plus opening stand . A big total was on the cards. Sudharsan scored a fine  84 ( 53 balls , 7 fours, 4 sixes) and Gill  who has been consistent this season  scored 64 ( 37 balls , 7 fours 3 sixes) . 125-1, 12.2 the duo had put on  125-1, 12.2 overs when Gill was out first.

Then English legend Jos Buttler took over and kept the moementum going with another fine fifty under his belt . Buttler was not out 57 ( 26 balls , 5 fours, 4 sixes). Buttler who had very poor T20 World Cup 2026 has bounced back to form. And That’s good sign for GT as well as England … Rahul Tewatia 0. Washington Sundar not out 7 as GT finished with a strong total 229/4 in their 20 overs.

Chennai Super Kings Bowling :  Mukesh Choudhary 1/36 ( 4 overs), Spencer Johnson 1/47 ( 4 overs), Gurjapneet Singh 0/31 ( 4 overs), Anshul Kamboj 1/56 ( 4 overs), Noor Ahmad 0/41 ( 3 overs), 0/15 ( 1 over)

In reply  Chennai Super Kings  never got off  to the start they wished.  Sanju Samson out for 0 added to their woes. The rest flopped – Matthew Short 24,  Ruturaj Gaikwad 16 , Urvil Patel 0, Kartik Sharma 19, Dewald Brevis 8 , Shivam Dube tried hard  47 ( 17 balls  4 fours, 4 sixes) had a rather ordinary season with a the bat. Anshul Kamboj 19, Spencer Johnson 0, Mukesh Choudhary not out 2. CSK bundled out for 140/10 in 13. 4 overs.  GT won by thumping 89 runs.  CSK y could not even play their full quota of 20 overs.

The GT  trio of Siraj , Rabada and  spinner Rashid Khan were all over CSK batters and backed by super fielding.
