#TATAIPL-2026-64: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal Star As Rajasthan Royals Keep Play-Offs Hopes Alive With A Crucial 7-Wicket Win Over Lucknow Super Giants

Rajasthan Royals in a must win game kept alive their play-offs hopes with a 7- wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in front of full crowd at Swai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur . Leading RR in absence of regular Skipper Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and opted  to bowl first.

RR move appeared to have backfired as the the LSG opnening duo of Aussies Mitchell Marsh and Josh Josh Inglis went after the bowling straight away . Getting LSG off to a blazing start . Inglis in particular took the lead with some astonishing shots and some daring innovation to score a fine 60 ( 29 balls, 7 fours 3 sixes). The duo put on 109-1, 8.2 overs a big total around 250 plus looked inevitable given the start.

Marsh , who had found his form in the later half of the tournament stuck another explosive knock . Badly missing out another ton run- out for 96 ( 57 balls, 11 fours 5 sixes) . Nicholas Pooran could score 16,  Skipper Rishabh Pant  35 ( 23 balls , 2 fours, 2 sixes), Ayush Badoni 0, Abdul Samad was not out 0. LSG finishing 220/5 in their 20 overs.

Rajasthan Royals Bowling : Jofra Archer 1/39 ( 4 overs), Sushant Mishra 0/46 ( 4 overs), Sandeep Sharma 0/43 ( 3 overs),  Brijesh Sharma 0/44 ( 4 overs), Yash Raj Punja 2/35 ( 4 overs), Dasun Shanaka 0/10( 1 over)

In reply  chasing  221 , RR got off to flying start with stand-in skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal  showing the way with a quick attacking 43 ( 23 balls 8 fours , 1 six) . Jaiswal along with young 15- year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi put on 75-1, 6.3 overs the chase was on. Jaiswal was the first to be dismissed .

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi , took the game away from LSG with a blistering knock of 93 ( 38 balls , 7 fours, 10 sixes ) , Dhruv Jurel  gave super support hitting an unbeaten 53 ( 38 balls 3 fours, 3 sixes). Donovan Ferreira was the other not out batsman  10 ( 16 balls 1 four, 1 six) as RR reached 225/3 in 19. 1 overs and five balls to spare . Lhuan-dre Pretorius was run-out 7 .

Lucknow Super Giants Bowling : Akash Maharaj Singh 1/54 ( 3 overs)  sprayed ball over all , Mohsin Khan 1/31 ( 4 overs), Mayank Yadav 0/50 ( 4 overs) bowled with pace but lacked direction, Prince Yadav 0/43 ( 4 overs), Digvesh Rathi 0/38 ( 4 overs), Shahbaz Ahmed 0/6 ( 0.1 )

RR win  opens up the race for the  fourth play- offs spot —  In six match losing streak Punjab Kings are out of  top four for the first time this season, RR are now now above them.
