#TATAIPL-2025-39 : Clinical All- Round Show By Gujarat Titans As They Outclass Struggling Kolkata Knight Riders By 39 Runs

Table toppers Gujarat Titans produced a clinical all- round show to outclass defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders by 39 runs in a Tata IPL 2025 encounter at Eden Gardens , Kolkata.

Put into bat by KKR Skipper Ajinkya Rahane. Gujarat Titans made Rahane pay for his blunder . Gill and  fellow opener Sudharsan put on a superb 114 runs for the first wicket in 12. 2 overs.  Setting the platform for big total . Sudharsan scored a fine  52 ( 36 balls, , 6 fours, 1 six) . The duo have given GT great starts at the top and their numbers say it all.

GT Skipper Gill was in terrific form with range of shots with power, timing and placements. Gill  made 90 (   55 balls, 10 fours, 2 sixes). Jos Buttler carried on the onslaught with a quick unbeaten 41 ( 23 balls , 8 fours) , Rahul Tewatia  did the bother the score board with ( 0).  Shahrukh Khan  not out 11  as GT reached an impressive 198/ 3 in their 20 overs.

KKR bowling : Vaibhav Arora 1/ 41 ( 4 overs) , Harshit Rana 1/ 45 ( 4 overs) , Moeen Ali 0/ 26 ( 3 overs) , Varun Chakaravarthy 0/ 33 ( 4 overs) , Sunil Narine 0/ 36 ( 4 overs) , Andre Russell 1/ 13 ( 1 over)

In reply KKR struggled  right through and the momentum was not there at all .  In absence of Quinton de Kock  , Rahmanullah Gurbaz opened but was out early for 1. Sunil Narine blitz did not come  for KKR . He was out for 17.

KKR Skipper  Ajinkya Rahane battled hard for his  50 ( 36 balls, 5 fours, 1 six)  but that  was not enough . With Rs 23 crore price tag Venkatesh Iyer has been inconsistent  this season and made just ( 14). Hyped Rinku Singh ( 17) , Andre Russell power just ( 21) . KKR floundered in the chase  . Ramandeep Singh ( 1), Moeen Ali ( 0). Angkrish Raghuvanshi not out 27 ( 13 balls , 3 fours, 1 six) and Harshit Rana not out 1. As KKR  with  a dismal showing at home yet again could manage 159/ 8 in their 20 overs.

GT Bowling : Mohammed Siraj 1/ 32 ( 4 overs) , Ishant Sharma 1/ 18 ( 2 overs) , Prasidh Krishna 2/ 25 ( 4 overs) , Rashid Khan 2/ 25 ( 4 overs) best figures this season. Washington Sunder 1/ 36 ( 3 overs) , Sai Kishore 1/ 19 ( 3 overs)
