Rajasthan Royals Skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first . RR pace bowler Jofra Archer generated pace and bounce and got the GT Skipper Shubman Gill bowled by a ripper for 2 . But fellow opener Sai Sudharsan remained unfazed . Along with Jos Butter put the GT innings back on track .
Sudharsan went on to play a match- winning innings of 82 ( 53 balls, 8 fours 3 sixes). Important knock from Jos Buttler 36 (25 balls , 5 fours), Shahrukh Khan 36 ( 20 balls , 4 fours , 2 sixes) , Rahul Tewatia not out 24 ( 12 balls , 2 fours, 2 sixes) , Rashid Kahn 12 ( 4 balls , 1 four, 1 six) and Sherfane Rutherford ( 7) , Arshad Khan not out 0 saw Titans reach a formidable 217/ 6 in their 20 overs.

In reply , RR got off to a horror start Yashasvi Jaiswal out for ( 6), Nitish Rana ( 1) total 12/2 in 2. 2 overs. Riyan Parag was fluent form the start and hit some stunning sixes and threatened a big knock but he was out 26 ( 14 balls, 1 four, 3 sixes) he appeared unhappy with his DRS dismissal .
RR Skipper Sanju Samson looked good but could not carry on and was out for 41 ( 28 balls, 4 fours, 2 sixes), Dhruv Jurel was out for just ( 5) . RR were in trouble.
Shimron Hetmyer played an aggressive inning of 52 ( 32 balls , 4 fours, 3 sixes) but it was not enough as RR lost wickets regularly after he was out and the result was inevitable in GT favour .
Remaining batsmen found the GT target daunting – Shubham Dubey ( 1) Jofra Archer ( 4) , Maheesh Theekshana ( 5), Tushar Deshpande ( 3) , Sandeep Sharma not out 6 . As RR were bowled out for 159/ 10 in 19. 2 overs. GT winning by 58 runs
