#TATAIPL-2024-13 : Delhi Capitals Powered By Impressive Fifty’s By Rishabh Pant, David Warner Beat Chennai Super Kings By 20 Runs

Delhi Capitals finally have win under their beat in the Tata IPL 2024 as they beat the defending Champions Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs .

Delhi Capitals Skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to make first use of the wicket . And DC openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw gave them a good start . Warner scored a a fine 52 ( 35 balls , 5 fours, 3 sixes) , Shaw making his way back in the side scored 43 ( 27 balls , 4 fours 2 sixes) . Big- hitting Mitchell Marsh fell for 18 . DC Captain Rishabh pant finally played the way he is known for – attacking style . Pant scored a confidence building knock 51 ( 32 balls, 4 fours, 3 sixes) and powered the DC innings to reach 191/ 5 in their 20 overs.

CSK bowling read : Deepak Chahar 0/ 42 ( 4 overs), Tushar Deshpande 0/ 24 ( 4 overs), Mustafizur Rahman 1/ 47 ( 4 overs), Ravindra Jadeja 1/ 43 ( 4 overs), Matheesha Pathirana 3/ 31 ( 4 overs). Matheesha Pathirana bowled two sizzling yorkers with his slinging Lasith Maliga style action to get rid of – Mitchell Marsh and Tristan Stubbs.

In reply CSK were jolted early as Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad ( 1) and Rachin Ravindra ( 2) fell to Khaleel Ahmed in his outstanding spell. CSK lost wickets regularly . Ajinkya Rahane tried to put the chase on track with 45 ( 30 balls, 5 fours 2 sixes) , Daryl Mitchell 34 ( 26 balls , 1 four, 2 sixes) , Sameer Rizvi did not disturb the scorers. Shivam Dube fell after trying to increate the scoring for ( 18)

The CSK hopes now rested on iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni ( who  got a thundering applause  form the crowd when he went out to bat)  and Ravindra Jadeja .  Dhoni  37 ( 16 balls, 4 fours 3 sixes)  , Ravindra Jadeja  ( 21)both swung their bat and remained unbeaten but the DC target was a bit  too much at the end. CSK finishing at 171 / 6 in their 20 overs. Delhi Capitals winning by 20 runs
