On Indian Badminton Icon Prakash Padukone’s 65th Birthday, Daughter Deepika Shares Throwback Picture

Bollywood actress and superstar Deepika Padukone shared a sweet throwback picture with her father, Indian badminton icon Prakash Padukone on his 65th birthday.

It was in 1980 that Prakash Padukone became the first Indian to win the coveted All England Open Badminton Championships. A landmark win that was to inspire generation next of Indian badminton players in the years ahead. In 2001 Pullela Gopichand emulated Prakash Padukone winning the All England Open badminton Championships.

Taking to her social media account Deepika fondly wrote, To the greatest off-screen hero I could have ever had!

On the work front, Deepika would be seen next in Kabir Khan’s 83 . A biopic on Indian cricket’s first World Cup win , where Kapil Dev and his men created history by Beating West Indies in the final. Husband Ranveer  Singh plays iconic all- rounder and skipper Kapil Dev while Deepika plays his wife Romi Dev in the film.
