#Maharashtra : Supriya Sule Lauds Uddhav’s Sensitive Appeal To MLA’s ; Slams Government Use Of ED Against Opposition
NCP leader and Lok Sabha MP from Baramati Supriya Sule has broken her silence on the on-going political crisis in Maharashtra following the rebellion in the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde. The Sena rebellions threatens the future of the MVA government of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Speaking to reporters and quoted By ANI , Sule said, Iam very proud of CM Uddhav Thackeray. Today, in the absence of Balasaheb, he (Uddhav) has made a sensitive appeal to his MLAs…I am not an astrologer, but I feel that if someone from family has left, then the whole family should try to bring them back .
Sule said she was pained by comments from rebels who were now with Shinde but were part of NCP at one point of time saying, Those who’re speaking against NCP (from Eknath Shinde faction) were once in NCP. Deepak bhau was in NCP, Uday Samant was in the party’s youth wing. What hurts me is that when they left NCP, we didn’t say bad words to them, but now they are targeting us.
Taking a dig at the Modi government over it’s misuse of ED , Sule remarked, Anyone who is speaking against the government is getting ED notices. Such things are not good for the country and the constitution. Her comment seen as support for Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut who has been summoned by ED.
On Eknath Shinde majority claim, Sule pointed out, Eknath Shinde doesn’t have the majority number of 144. He only has 50 from what I have heard, so it can’t be said that he has the majority.
On personal rapport with Thackeray family, Sule , said, I have seen Uddhav ji’s tweet. I have emotions attached to this family (Thackeray). Governments will come and go, but these relations will last longer.
