Audacious ,outspoken and upfront actress Kangana Ranaut has once again in an interview to a news channel has lashed out at her detractors and spoke out how Sushant Singh Rajput was forced to commit suicide and which she calls was a planned murder by the movie mafia. And the actress has even promised to return her Padma Shri if she cannot prove her claims in the Sushant Singh Suicide case. Gutsy move Indeed !

Kangana has leveled serious allegations against some of the biggest names in Bollywood post the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput – producer director Aditya Chopra (who was grilled for four hours), Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali (he recorded his statement to the police) and film critic Rajeev Masand. And that is not all she has termed actresses Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker “needy” outsiders whose “whole existence is a proof of nepotism.”

This is not the first time Kangana has spoken out against powers that may be in Bollywood her tirade against Hrithik Roshan is well known. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor too had come under her criticism. She has spared none either questioning too the acting skills of – Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan. So it makes us wonder who really is the actress she gets along well in Bollywood?

She has openly questioned how Ranveer Singh starrer Gully Boy which also featured Alia Bhatt bagged so many awards while Sushant Singh and Shraddha Kapoor film Chhichhore was ignored. In the 65th Filmfare Awards the film won 13 awards at the show, the most awards for a single film in a year, has broken the record of Black, which won 11 awards in 2006.

Having decided to take on her rivals in Bollywood , Kangana has impressed a lot . Some coming out and terming her with attributes like bold, courageous, daring . But in Bollywood by making enemies one cannot survive for long.

Remember, Vivek Oberoi’s open daring spat with superstar Salman Khan. Post the spat, Vivek was completely sidelined while Salman established himself as the superstar in Bollywood. Before the in- famous spat Vivek’s career in-fact was going well as he received acclaim for some of his films – Ram Gopal Varma’s Company ( 2002) with Ajay Devgn, Manisha Koirala and later Shaad Ali’s Saathiya (2002) with Rani Mukerji . In 2006 he featured in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara with Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan , In 2007 Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Lokhandwala with starred superstars Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan. Thereafter he faded away. In 2019 Vivek desperately tried to revive his flagging career portraying the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a film PM Narendra Modi but it was a total disaster in the box-office.

Bottom line is Kangana will have to prove the charges/ accusations in court against the A-list of Bollywood. It is the court where it will truly matter. Not by getting headlines, or trending on twitter. And certainly not by sitting in news channels on prime time debates. The road ahead is rocky one. She will courtesy enmity will have to dabble with multiple roles to have her film on the big screen i.e – acting, directing, producing, distribution and even promotion.

Kangana  could well be a heroine if proven right and hailed for her guts while standing up against the odds ,  but mind you if she gets it horribly wrong then her  career in Bollywood will be clearly over and there  will be no more lines  like – picture abhi baki hai.
