Change Of Captaincy : Dinesh Karthik Steps Down As KKR Skipper, Eoin Morgan, England’s 2019 World Cup Winning Skipper Takes Over
Kolkata Knight Riders have decided to go for change in captaincy for the remaining part of the Dream11 IPL 2020 fortunes. Wicket- Keeper Dinesh Karthik has according to media reports has stepped down as Captain. England’s 2019 ICC World Cup winning skipper Eoin Morgan takes over from him. Karthik had captained KKR in 37 matches .
In 2018 , Karthik replaced Gautam Gambhir as KKR captain. Gambhir incidentally had captained KKR to two IPL wins in 2012 and 2014.
The Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan co-owned team is now fourth in the IPL table with four wins and three losses in their seven matches played so far.
The team’s CEO and MD Venky Mysore confirmed the change of captaincy in KKR’s twitter handle
