With Eye On Assembly Polls, Shivraj Singh Chouhan Launches ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’
The Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh are still months away. But chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is taking no chances this time around. Expected to face anti- incumbency after 15 years in power , Chouhan is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to the people in order to retain the state . A win would be crucial as BJP attempts to return to power at the Centre at the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls.
So the Shivraj Singh Chouhan is all set to launch the a high-voltage ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ from Ujjain city
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah will flag off the event at 2:30 pm at Rajmata Scindia Stadium after offering prayers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple.
Chouhan had earlier launched the high-tech chariot by performing pooja rituals for the success of the tour.
During the yatra which will conclude here on September 25, the chief minister is expected to address several rallies covering all the 230 Assembly segments in the state.
Chouhan’s early poll preparations are an indication that it might face tough challenge from the Congress party which is desperate to return to power. The party in it’s bid to oust BJP had appointed seasoned Kamal Nath as the state party president. Besides important campaign role for Jyotiraditya Scindia. Though the party has not named the CM face, it will be interesting to see how the party manages to take on the BJP.
