What A Comeback ! : I don’t fear you, your agencies, vicious trolls, your Godi media. I will see the end of you – Mahua Moitra TMC , Lok Sabha MP

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from the last Lok Sabha session, said on Monday that the ruling party had paid a heavy price for throttling the voice of one MP.

According to PTI, Participating in the debate on Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, Ms. Moitra said: “I lost my membership. I lost my house. I also lost my uterus in an operation. But you know what I gained? I gained what Rahul Gandhi said: the freedom of not fearing you! I don’t fear you, your agencies, vicious trolls, your Godi media. I will see the end of you”.

The MP had undergone a hysterectomy last year around the time she was asked to vacate her house after her expulsion from the Lok Sabha.

In a fiery comeback speech Moitra said the BJP paid a very heavy price for throttling her voice which led to loss of 63 of its MPs in the recent general elections and added that now they would not be able to treat the Opposition the way they treated them during the last session.

She said the government had dishonoured the President’s office by giving her a speech full of falsities. The Krishnanagar MP condemned the installation of the sengol (sceptre) in Parliament, calling it a symbol of monarchy with no place in a democracy.

“The BJP’s ‘raj tantra’ has been reduced by the ‘lok tantra’ of this country. This is not a stable government. It depends on multiple allies who have a history of U-turns”.

Accusing the government of turning a blind eye to the Manipur issue, she said the Prime Minister mentioned ‘Muslim’, ‘madrasa’, ‘mutton’, ‘machhli’ and ‘mujra’ but not ‘Manipur’ once during the campaigning.

She also accused the Election Commission of bias.

The Trinamool member said that though the BJP had formed a government, it was a “pyrrhic” victory. This time even in core Hindi heartland their core voters had deserted them.
