#TATAIPL-2026-9 : Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravi Bishnoi Excel As Rajasthan Royals Beat Gujarat Titans In A Thriller By 6 Runs

Rajastahn Royals won their second consecutive match of the  Tata IPL 2026 as they held their nerves to beat Guajrat Titans by 6  runs  in a thriller at the  Narendra Modi stadium , Ahmedabad.  This after RR Skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and decided to bat first . Rashid Khan was GT’s stand-in captain in the absence of Shubman Gill

RR  made their intent clear from the  start  with openers  Yashasvi Jaiswal and  Vaibhav Sooryavanshi  making an impactful power play and setting the platform for a big total  . RR racing to 70/1 in 6. 2 overs . Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the firsr out for 31 ( 18 balls , 5 fours 1 six).

Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a timely 56  ( 36 balls , 6 fours 3 sixes).  RR Skipper  Riyan Parag was out for 8. The dangerous Shimron Hetmyer was out for ( 18)  , Donovan Ferreira ( 1). RR innings got the power from wicket- Keeper Dhruv Jurel who blasted an impressive 75 ( 42 balls , 5 fours, 5 sixes) . Ravindra Jadeja not out 7  and  Jofra Archer not out 1 as RR finished with strong total 210/6 in their 20 overs

GT Bowling :  Mohammed Siraj 1/48 ( 4 overs), Kagiso Rabada 2/42 ( 4 overs), Ashok Sharma 1/37 ( 4 overs), Prasidh Krishna 1/43 ( 4 overs), Rashid Khan 1/39 ( 4 overs)

Chasing 211 for win , Gujarat Titans appeared confident and got off to a fine start racing to  a total of  78-1, 8 overs courtesy openers – Kumar Kushagra 18 and Sai Sudharsan 73 ( 44 balls, 9 fours, 3 sixes), English star Jos Buttler made 26 . Glenn Phillips 3. Washington Sundar 4 . The chase wobbled . Further woes – Rahul Tewatia 12, M Shahrukh Khan 11.  There was late charge with Rashid Khan 24 ( 16 balls 3 fours) and Kagiso Rabada 23 ( 16 balls , 1 four, 2 sixes) but it went in vain is GT fell agonisingly short by just 6 runs finishing at 204/8 in their 20 overs.  For RR Tushar Deshpande bowled well in the final  over to see them home. RR Skipper Riyan Parag handled his bowlers astutely .
