#TATAIPL-2026-70, KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav, Lungi Ngidi Shine As Delhi Capitals Beat Kolkata Knight Riders By 40-Runs To Finish Sixth In The Season

Delhi Capitals ended their TataIPL 2026 campaign with a 40- run win over Kolkata Knight Riders in a inconsequential match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. RR win over Mumbai Indians earlier in the day had sealed the fourth play- offs spot.

Earlier, KKR won the toss an opted to bowl first. DC got off to  staedy start with   Abhishek Porel and K L Rahul  and the total reaching 40-1, 4.3 opvers. Porel was first to go for 22 . Sahil Parakh scored a quick 24 ( 17 balls , 3 fours , 1 six). DC Skipper Axar Patel joined the party and chipped in with 39 ( 25 balls , 3 fours, 2 sixes). big- hitting David Miller 28 ( 19 balls 3 sixes) kept the attack.

K L Rahul in sublime form right through smashed yet another ( fifth of the season)  fifty 60 ( 30 balls , 5 fours , 4 sixes) and anchored the DC innings when wickets fell around him .

Towards the end Ashutosh Sharma not out 18 ( 11 balls , 2 fours, 1 six) and Tristan Stubbs not out 0  were there in the middle as DC finished with an impressive total of  203/5 in their 20 overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders Bowling : Anukul Roy 1/23 ( 2 overs), Saurabh Dubey 2/28 ( 4 overs), Cameron Green 0/21 ( 2 overs), Kartik Tyagi 0/55 ( 4 overs), Sunil Narine 1/38 ( 4 overs), Varun Chakaravarthy 1/35 ( 4 overs)

In reply chasing 204 , KKR  with openers  Skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen put on 43-1, 4.2 overs in the fpower play. Allen was out early for 20 ( 13 balls , 3 fours, 1 six), Manish Pandey 25 , Big signing  Aussie Cameron Green  2 , Rinku Singh 0, Tejasvi Dahiya. Rovaman Powell  29 ( 21 balls , 3 fours, 1 six) promised a big one but that was not to be . Anukul Roy 9, Kartik Tyagi 0 , Varun Chakaravarthy 5 , Saurabh Dubey not out 4 . KKR were bundled out  for mere 163/10 in 18. 4 overs.
