Three- time winners Kolkata Knight Riders added more misery for five-time winners Mumbai Indians as they beat them by 4 wicket in athrilling Tata IPl 2026 encounter at Eden Gardens, Kolkata The match also saw some rain interruptions but overs remained the same .
Earlier KKR won the toss and opted to bowl first . KKR bowlers were right on top of the MI batting line-up with early wickets . Ryan Rickelton 6, Rohit Sharma 15 , Naman Dhir 0, Suryakumar Yadav’s form never came this season out for 15. Tilak Varma 20, Back as Skipper after missing out with injuries Hardik Pandya scored 26 , Will Jacks 14.
The big innings never came for the listless MI. Deepak Chahar 10. Corbin Bosch was the top- scorer with 32 not out told the tale of the line- up . MI finishing at a belwo par modest 147/8 in their 20 overs.

Rinku Singh not out 9 and Anukul Roy not out 4 ensured no further loss of wickets as KKR clinched a 4- wicket win reaching 148/6 in 18. 5 overs. Chasing a modest total KKR one thought lost a wicket too many in the process.
