#TATAIPL-2026-40 : Yashasvi Jaiswal, Donovan Ferreira Smash Timely Fifties To Help Rajasthan Royals Beat Punjab Kings By 6-Wickets

Rajasthan Royals finally ended the unbeaten run of Punjab Kings  this season as they beat them by six wickets in a high- scoring Tata IPL 2026 encounter.  RR won the toss an opted to field first .

Punjab did post an imposing total at home 222/4 in their 20 overs . Prabhsimran Singh 59 ( 44 balls , 6 fours, 1 six),  Priyansh Arya 29 ( 11 balls , 5 fours, 1 six), Cooper Connolly 30  ( 14 balls , 2 fours 3 sixes), Skipper Shreyas Iyer  30 ( 27 balls , 1 four, 1 six). Big Aussie Marcus Stoinis  blasted a blistering 62 not out  ( 22 balls , 4 fours, 6 sixes), Suryansh Shedge not out 3 .

RR  Bowling :  Jofra Archer 1/40 ( 4 overs), Nandre Burger 1/59 ( 4 overs), Brijesh Sharma 0/42 ( 4 overs), Yash Raj Punja 2/41 ( 4 overs), Ravindra Jadeja 0/32 ( 4 overs)

In reply RR looked unfazed by the huge target of 223. Yashasvi Jaiswal led the chase with 51 ( 27 balls , 7 fours, 1 six) , Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was rampant 43 ( 16 balls, 3 fours, 5 sixes), Dhruv Jurel 16, Skipper Riyan Parag 29 ( 16 balls , 2 fours , 2 sixes).

But the RR duo of cool  Donovan Ferreira 52 not out ( 26 balls 6 fours 3 sixes)  and Shubham Dubey  not out 31 ( 12 balls , 3 fours 2 sixes) ensured no further loss of wicket and powere RR home reaching 228/4 in 19. 2 overs)
