Earlier, RR Skipper Riyan Parag captaining in front of his home crowd delighted fans as he won the toss and opted to bowl first. Parag’s move was spot on as his bowlers were all over listless CSK with regular wickets . In- fact the CSk inniongs did not get going at all . From the start – openers Sanju Samson ( 6), Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad ( 6) fell early.
Ayush Mhatre ( 0), Matthew Short ( 2), Sarfaraz Khan ( 17), Kartik Sharma ( 18), Shivam Dube ( 6). CSK were in tatters reeling at 57/6 in 8 overs. Jamie Overton saved them from humiliation with a fighting 43 ( 36 balls 2 fours, 2 sixes) , Noor Ahmad ( 1), Matt Henry ( 5), Anshul Kamboj not out 7 . CSK were bundled out for a dismal 127/10 in their 20 overs. Before the match CSK suffered a big blow as legend MSD has been ruled out for two weeks due to calf injury.

Jaiswal was not out 38 ( 36 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) , RR Skipper Riyan parag was not out 14 ( 11 balls 1 four, 1 six) as RR romped home in style by 8 wickets reaching 128/2 in 12. 1 overs.
