Gujarat Titans held their nerves in a last- over thriller as they won their third consecutive match in Tata IPL 2026 by beating Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 wickets. It was a close encounter at the Narendra Modi stadium Ahmedabad.
Earlier , Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bat first . Kiwi Tim Seifert replaced fellow countryman out of form Finn Allen at the top for KKR . But the change did not work out Tim Seifert scored 19. Skipper Rahane out for 0 , Angkrish Raghuvanshi 8 . Rovman Powell steadied the innings with 27 ( 20 balls 2 fours , 2 sixes), Anukul Roy 9, Rinku Singh in horrible form out for 1 . Ramandeep Singh 17 , Sunil Narine 0, Kartik Tyagi 6 , Vaibhav Arora 0.
The only solace for KKR was the retun of from of Cameron Green. Under immense pressure folliwng his Rs 25 crore signing , Grren finally came good and scored an unbeaten 79 ( 55 balls, 7 fours, 4 sixes). It was Green’s effort that saw KKR reach 180/10 in their 20 overs
