#TATAIPL-2026-23 : Virat Kohli Smashes 49, Rasikh Salam Dar Bags 4/24 As Defending Royal Challengers Bengaluru Hammer Lucknow Super Giants By 5 Wickets

Defending Champions Royal Challngers Bengaluru came out a clinical performance to rout  Lucknow Super Giants by 5 Wickets in  in a  Tata IPl 2026  encounter. Earlier RCB Skipper Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to field first.

And Patidar was delightted as his bowlers did not let the LSG batsmen get away with regular wickets . Josh Hazlewood bowled a super Test match line and length and gave batsmen no room whatsoever . He was well backed up by young  Rasikh Salam Dar and experianced Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The result LSG could mange a  dismal total of 146/10 in their 20 overs .

For LSG Mitchell Marsh scored  a scratchy 40 ( 32 balls, 3 fours, 2 sixes), Aiden Markram 12,  Skipper Rishabh Pant ( who went off the field after been hit by Hazlewood delivery) could score only 1. Nicholas Pooran flopped again out for 1 . Ayush Badoni tried his beat but score only 38 ( 24 balls 4 fours, 1 six), Abdul Samad 0.  Mukul Choudhary treid to give LSG some total with 39 ( 28 balls, 3 fours 2 sixes), George Linde 7, Mohammed Shami 0, Avesh Khan  1 . LSG batting was huge flop show .

In reply RCB lost opener  Philip Salt early for 7 . But coming in as impact player chase master Virat kohli was in superb touch and blasted 49 ( 34 balls , 6 fours 1 six) top put the chase on course . Devdutt Padikkal was out for ( 10. Skipper  Rajat Patidar  in fine form hit a quick cameo 27 ( 13 balls , 1 four, 3 sixes), Jitesh Sharma chipped in with 23 ( 9 balls 2 fours 2 sixes) . RCB was making the LSG total look ridiculously easy .

It was left to big- hitter Tima David not out 14 ( 8 balls 1. four , 1 six) and Romario Shepherd 14 not out  ( 8 balls 1 four , 1 six)  top see RCB home without losing any more wickets , RCB finishing 149/5 in 15. 1 overs) . An emphatic win for the  reigning champions.
