Five- time winners Chennai Super Kings finally gave their home fans reason to cheer as they won their first match this season by outclassing Delhi Capitals by 23 runs in a Tata IPL 2026 encounter . Earlier, Delhi Capitals Skipper Axar Patel won the toss and opted to field first .
And CSK at home took full advantage of the DC move . CSK got off the mark quickly 62-1, 6.2 overs, Gailwad was first to go for 15 . The young Ayush Mhatre too chipped in with aggressive 59 ( 36 balls , 3 fours, 4 sixes) before he was retired out. Shivam Dube not out 20 as CSK finished with an impressive 212/1 in their 20 overs
