#TATAIPL-2026-11: Tim David Hits A Blistering Unbeaten 70 As Defending Champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru Beat A Listless Chennai Super Kings By 43 Runs

Defensding Champions Royal Challnegers Bengaluru  produced a clincial show  to beat  a listless lokking five- time winners Chennai Super Kings by 43 in Tata IPL 2026 encounter in Bengaluru.

Earlier, CSK  Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to bowl first . His move it appeared  back-fired as RCB in front of their home crowd started  with intent racing to  37-1, 4.3 overs. Virat kohli was first out for 28 ( 18 balls, 2 fours 1 six) fellow opener Philip Salt scored 46 ( 30 balls 3 fours 2 sixes) in- form Devdutt Padikkal blasted a 29 ball  50 ( 5 fours 2 sixes).

Skipper Rajat Patidar joined the party  and remained not out with a 19 balls 48  1 four ,  6 sixes).  RCB powered to an imposing total  thanks to the sensational power-hitting by big Aussie Tim David. David was unstoppable as he blasted the CSK bowling attack and remained unbeaten on 70 ( 25 balls , 3 fours 8 sixes) . It was David carnage to which CSK bowlers had no answer. RCB finishing at  250/ 3 in their 20 overs

In reply , CSK were rocked early . Sanju Samson another flop show out  for 9,  Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad ( 7), Ayush Mhatre ( 1). CSK in tatters  30-3, 2.5 overs. Sarfaraz Khan put up a fight with 50  ( 25 balls , 7 fours 2 sixes) , Kartik Sharma ( 6). Regular wickets dented CSK chase . Shivam Dube ( 18 ), Prashant Veer 43( 29 balls, 6 fours, 1 six)   kept them in the hunt before he was out.

Jamie Overton threatened big but fell for a fighting 37 ( 16 balls, 3 fours  2 sixes) Noor Ahmad fell for  8    Anshul Kamboj  no out 19  , Matt Henry  out fo2 . CSK bolwed out for 208 /10 in 194. 4 overs. RCB winning by 43 runs. It was CSK’s third loss and seventh under  Ruturaj Gaikwad’s leadership.
