Earlier, DC Skipper Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first . LSG got off to a fine start with openers the fin- from duo of Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh. The duo put on 87 for the first wicket in 9. 6 overs. Markram was the first to go for well made 52 ( 33 balls , 2 fours, 3 sixes). Nicholas Pooran played on a delivery from Mitchell Starc to be bowled for 9.
Abdul Samad who played match- winning unbeaten cameo against RR earlier was out for 2 . Ayush Badoni scored 36 ( 21 balls 6 fours). The dangerous Mitchell Marsh was bowled for 45 ( 36 balls 3 fours, 1 six) by Mukesh Kumar .
LSG Skipper Rishabh Pant did not bother the score board out for ( 0), David Miller was not out 14 . AS LSG struggled on way to reach 159/ 6 in their 20 overs.
DC Bowling : Axar Patel opened the bowling and bowled his 4 overs straight 0/ 29 ( 4 overs) , Mitchell Starc 1/ 25 ( 4 overs) , Mukesh Kumar wrecked the LSG batting with 4/ 33 ( 4 overs), Dushmantha Chameera 1/ 25 ( 3 overs) , Vipraj Nigam , 0/ 14 ( 1 over), Kuldeep Yadav 0/ 33 ( 4 overs)
In reply chasing modest LSG total. DC were off with Abhishek Porel and Karun Nair. DC reaching 36 / 1 in 3. 4 overs . Karun Nair was out first for 15 . Porel who has been in fine form scored 51 ( 36 balls , 5 fours, 1 six) .
DC were in control with K L Rahul and Axar Patel . K L Rahul racing to his third fifty of the season 57 ( 42 balls 3 fours, 3 sixes) and he remained not out . Rahul finished the match in style with a stunning six. K L Rahul incidentally had captained LSG for three seasons so it was pay back time for his franchise from where he was forced to leave.
DC Skipper Axar Patel remained not out on 34 ( 20 balls, 1 four, 4 sixes) . DC making the chase an easy one reaching 161/ 2 in 17. 5 overs. A comfortable win by 8 wickets .
