#TATAIPL-2025-15 : Defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders Register Biggest Victory Margin Of The Season, Outclass Sunrisers Hyderabad By Massive 80 Runs

Defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders recorded the biggest victory margin in Tata IPL 2025 as they outclassed Sunrisers Hyderabad by a massive 80 runs in encounter at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Earlier, SRH Skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl. And SRH did began well with the KKR jolted by early wickets of Quinton de Kock (1) and Sunil Narine ( 7). Both Falling to Cummins and Shami respectively . KKR total 16/ 2 in 3.2 overs.

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane along with young Angkrish Raghuvanshi put KKR on track with fine stand . Rahane stroked a fine aggressive 38 ( 27 balls, 1 four, 4 sixes). Angkrish Raghuvanshi played well for his 50 ( 32 balls, 5 fours, 2 sixes) . But both fell in quick succession to hand SRH some hope in getting back in the game.

SRH were let down by some shoddy fielding and KKR batsmen took advantage. Venkatesh Iyer blasted his way back to form after some poor scores to score a blazing 60 ( 29 balls , 7 fours, 3 sixes) and he had an able partner in Rinku Singh who hit a lovely cameo 32 not out ( 17 balls, 4 fours, 1 six), Andre Russell was not out 1 . KKR eventually reaching an imposing 200/ 5 in their 20 overs.

SRH Bowling : Pat Cummins 1/ 44 ( 4 overs), Mohammed Shami 1/ 29 ( 4 overs) struggled to get his rhythm. Simarjeet Singh 0/47 ( 4 overs) , Zeeshan Ansari 1/ 25 ( 3 overs) , Harshal Patel 1/ 43 ( 4 overs), Kamindu Mendis 1/ 4 ( 1 over) picked ahead of Adam Zampa.

In reply SRH batting were in tatters form the start. Struggling for form after first match SRH to- order collapsed like pack of cards. Which forced SRH Skipper Pat Cummins to to admit post-match after third loss that they need to rethink and look at other options after for matches ahead.

The SRH batting woe was told by scores – Travis Head ( impact player) out for 4 needless reckless shot when chasing 200 plus in only second ball. Abhishek Sharma out of form ( 2), Ishan Kishan ( 2) floundering again after first match ton.

Nitish Kumar Reddy ( 19) , Kamindu Mendis ( 27) , Aniket Verma ( 6) , the big innings from Heinrich Klaasen is yet to come , He was out yet again after making 31. Pat Cummins ( 14), Harshal Patel ( 3) , Simarjeet Singh ( 0 ), Mohammed Shami not out 2. SRH were bowled out for an embarrassing 120 in 16. 4 overs

KKR Bowlers were on top : Vaibhav Arora 3/ 29 ( 4 overs)  was brilliant , Harshit Rana 1/ 15 ( 3 overs) , Varun Chakaravarthy 3/ 22 ( 4 overs), Andre Russell 2/ 21 ( 1.4 overs), Sunil Narine 0/ 30 ( 4 overs)
