#T20WorldCup2022 : Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, And Bowlers Help India Outclass Netherlands By 56 Runs

India came out with a clinical show in their second match of the T20WorldCup2022 at Sydney. They beat Netherlands by comfortably by 56 runs. This after Rohit Sharma had won the toss and decided to bat first .

Opener K L Rahul’s poor run of form continued as he was out early again This time leg before for 9. Skipper Rohit Sharma blasted his way back to some form and struck a fine 53 ( 39 balls , 4 fours , 7 sixes).

Virat Kohli once again was in the action in the middle and after a watchful start went on to play yet another fine unbeaten innings of 62 ( 44 balls , 3 fours 2, sixes) . Following up his unbeaten 82 against Pakistan , Indian fans and Team India will be pleased to see King Kohli back in form at the right time .

Suryakumar Yadav has begun to make an impact in this batting line- up with his positive play. Once again SKY displayed his range of shots all – around the wicket and the pace in which he gets those runs is really heartening for the side. SKY was in belligerent form from the word word go and smashed a superb 25 ball 51 not out ( 7 fours , 1 six) , India posted 179/ 2 in their 20 overs.

For the Dutch the bowling figures read : Fred Klaassen 1/ 33 ( 4 overs) , Paul van Meekeren 1/ 32 ( 4 overs) , Bas de Leede 0/ 33 ( 3 overs) , Logan van Beek 0/ 45 ( 4 overs) , Tim Pringle 0/30 ( 4 overs) , Shariz Ahmad 0/5 ( 1 over)

In reply Netherlands simply did not get going at all from the start. They lost wickets at regular intervals. Indian bowlers were on target right through –   Max ODowd ( 16) , Bas de Leede ( 16) , Colin Ackermann ( 17) , Tim Pringle ( 20), Shariz Ahmad ( 16) not out efforts were simply not good enough. Netherlands could manage only 123/ 9 in their 20 overs. India winning by 56 runs.

India had good day in the field. All the bowlers were among the wickets that would please Rohit Sharma ahead of their next big match against South Africa on 30th October. The seamers did well Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2/ 9 ( 3 overs) , Arshdeep Singh 2/ 37 ( 3 overs) , Mohammed Shami 1/ 27 ( 4 0vers), Hardik Pandya 0/ 9) 1 over)  . The spin duo shone too  Axar Patel 2/ 18 ( 4 overs), Ravichandran Ashwin 2/ 21 ( 4 overs)
