The Political crisis in Rajasthan now shifts to the Supreme Court. The Rajasthan High Court has ordered ‘status quo’ in the case against Congress, on the petition filed by former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and the 18 MLAs against the disqualification notice.
“No action can be taken against Sachin Pilot and other rebel Congress leaders for now,” the Rajasthan High Court said , which comes as a major reprieve for the rebel group against the disqualification notice.
The order came after the court allowed the application moved by Team Pilot seeking impleadment of the Union of India as a party to the proceedings in the disqualification matter.
The Supreme Court will hear the case on July 27.
According to CNN-IBN report, it is learnt from sources that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is likely to call an assembly session next week to conduct a floor test and prove the government’s majority in the House.
