Punjab Crisis : Navjot Singh Sidhu Quits As PCC Chief, Capt Amarinder Singh In Delhi Likely To Call On Congress Interim president Sonia Gandhi
In yet another major political development in Punjab, PCC Chief Navjot Singh Has resigned from the post. He had written a letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi.
The move is shocking since Sidhu had is way and picked Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to succeed Capt Amarinder Singh. It seems the Punjab crisisin the Congress despite the change in captaincy is far from over. Sidhu apparently quit over rift in selection of ministers in the Channi cabinet
Navjot Singh Sidhu resigns as Punjab Congress chief but remains in the Congress party.
In a letter Sidhu wrote, “The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner.”

He added that he can never compromise with Punjab’s future and the welfare of the state.
This comes after former Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh has left for New Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi, on what is being called a courtesy visit.
