Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks To Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy , In The 35 Minute Call Evacuation Tops Agenda

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke over the phone to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for about 35 minutes. The two leaders discussed the evolving situation in Ukraine. The PM appreciated the continuing direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine.
Ss per ANI report, This is Modi’s third call to to the Ukranian President. He spoke to Zelenskyy on February 26 . After India abstained during a vote in the United Nations Security council, Zelensky spoke to PM Modi and sought India’s political support at the UNSC.
Prime Minister Modi thanked President Zelensky for the help extended by the Government of Ukraine in the evacuation of Indian nationals from Ukraine. PM sought continued support from the Govt of Ukraine in ongoing efforts for evacuation of Indian nationals from Sumy.
Prime Minister Modi is later in the scheduled to speak also to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
