Normal Life In Kashmir Valley Affected Due To Shutdown Call By Separatists
After the security forces gunned down two militants and two civilians and leaving another 20 civilians injured during an encounter in the shopian district, the valley had become tense all over again. The two militants killed were reportedly part of the Jaish- e- Mohammad
The separatists under the banner of JRL and lead by the likes of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin Malik had in protest over the high- handedness of the security forces have called for a shutdown in the valley.
And according to various media reports, the shutdown call has severely affected the normal life of the people in the Kashmir valley.
Taking no chances and fears of violence shops, other businesses, public transport and educational institutions remained closed in Srinagar and other district headquarters of the valley even though private transport and some three wheelers were seen moving on uptown and city outskirts.
