#ManipurElections2022 : Manipur Set To Remain With The BJP , Party Inching Towards Majority

Current BJP Chief Minister N Biren Singh is all set to return to power in the North east state of Manipur . In the 60 member assembly voting was done in two phases

According to CNN-  IBN report, BJP leading in 22, NPP 7 , Congress 5 , NPF 4, Others 6

Chief Minister Biren Singh told ANI ahead of the counting, I have prayed to God, that the coming five years would be tantamount to the last 5 years with peace and development and that BJP will form government with a full majority.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh is ahead of rival Congress candidate Pangeijam Saratchandra Singh by over 15,500 votes. In the Kangpokpi seat, Nemcha Kipgen of the BJP is leading by 3,146 votes from Congress’ Ngamkhohen Kipgen, while Y. Antas Khan (BJP) is leading by 423 votes from JD(U)’s Mohd Abdul Nasir in the Lilong constituency.

The ruling BJP, led by sitting chief minister N Biren Singh, is looking for a consecutive second term in the northeastern state, while the opposition Congress is banking on the magic of former three-time chief minister O Ibobi Singh
