#MaharashtraPoliticalDrama : Opposition Protests In Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi Finally Arrives
Protests and sloganeering against the BJP government formation in Maharashtra by Devendra Fadnavis with Ajit Pawar as Deputy CM saw the opposition raise strong protest in Lok Sabha as soon as the day started.
Chants of “Samvidhan ki Hatya Bandh Karo,” and other slogans were reportedly heard booming across the House as leaders abandon their seats, stand up and bring chaos upon the proceedings.
Interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi took part in the protests outside parliament. Breaking her silence on the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra she said that this is a “murder of the democracy.”
Finally making his appearance in the Lok Sabha after a long time, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi too echoed his mother’s statement on Maharashtra crisis .
Rahul Gandhi who was to ask the first question at the Lok Sabha during Question Hour today, says, ” I wanted to ask a question in the House but it doesn’t make any sense to ask a question right now as democracy has been murdered.”

The Maharashtra crisis was evident in parliament , Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has reportedly alleged that women parliamentarians were “manhandled” in the Lok Sabha when they were protesting in the Well of the House over the Maharashtra government formation. Congress members jostled with the marshals in the Lok Sabha when they stormed the Well of the House carrying placards, leading to adjournment of Parliament proceedings.
