Legendary Bappi Lahiri Passes Away At 69, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Leads Tributes; Bollywood Mourns

Nation is yet to come terms with the demise of Lata Mangeshkar, now another icon of Bollywood has passed away. Legendary music composer-singer Bappi Lahiri, who was known as the disco king of Bollywood, died at a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday night. He was 69. The singer breathed his last at 11:45 pm in Juhu’s Criticare Hospital.

As the news of his passing away broke tributes flowed on twitter :

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in a tweet , Shri Bappi Lahiri Ji’s music was all encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions. People across generations could relate to his works. His lively nature will be missed by everyone. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.
