Earlier , England won the toss and opted to bowl first . India were rocked early with last match centurion , Skipper Rohit Sharma out for just 1. Superstar Virat Kohli finally gave people reasons to smile as he showed his class and scored an important 52 ( 55 balls, 7 fours, 1 six) . Deputy Shubman Gill was sublime as he smashed a fluent 112 ( 102 balls, 14 fours, 3 sixes) .
Shreyas Iyer made the most in his come-back striking a fine 78 ( 64 balls, 8 fours 2 sixes), K L Rahul looked good in his ( 40) . Hardik Pandya ( 17) , Axar Patel ( 13) , Washington Sundar ( 14) , Harshit Rana ( 13) chipped in with runs from lower order as Indi finished at 356/ 10 in their 50 overs.

After trio fell . The Rest of the batting line- up found the chase a stiff one and only succumb – Joe Root ( 24 ) , Harry Brook ( 19) , Skipper Jos Buttler ( 6), Liam Livingstone ( 9) fell in quick succession.
