New Look team India have whitewashed Bangladesh in the T20 series as they hammered them by 133 runs in the third T20I in Hyderabad. India were all-over Bangladesh in the match in all departments.
Sanju Samson showed India the way with blistering maiden ton . Samson was simply unstoppable in his 111 from 47 balls, with eight sixes and 11 fours — the second fastest T20I century by an Indian after Rohit Sharma (35 balls).
And giving him good company was Captain Suryakumar Yadav was equally destructive as he hammered 75 from 35 balls, with five sixes and eight fours, as the duo biffed 173 runs during an electrifying second wicket stand . Courtesy Samson and SKY blitz India posted a mammoth total 297/ 6 in their 20 overs.
Adding to Bangladesh woes were blazing cameos Hardik Pandya (47, 18 balls, 4×4, 4×6) and Riyan Parag (34, 13 balls, 1×4, 4×6) blasted 70 runs for the fourth wicket
Battered Bangladesh were no where in the game in the chase managing a poor total 164/ 7 .Once Mayank ousted Pervez Hossain in the first ball of Bangladesh innings, they struggled for momentum in the always futile chase of 298. The tourists did not have the resources even to attempt a powerful chase as knocks by Towhid Hridoy (63 not out) and Litton Das (42)
India bowlers Mayank Yadav (2/32) and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (3/30) led the hosts’ fine match- winning bowling effort.
