India vs Australia 2nd ODI : Virat Kohli’s 40th Power Ton , Vijay Shankar’s All Round Skills Help India Win By 8 Runs

India have taken a 2-0 lead in the five match ODI series against Australia. The men in Blue in- fact clinched a thriller . Winning by 8 runs in well contested encounter at Nagpur.

Put into by Aussie skipper Aaron Finch, India ere bowled out for 250 in 48. 2 overs. Rohit Sharma was out for no score, Shikhar Dhawan ( 21) , Ambati Rayudu ( 18) , Kedar Jadhav ( 11) Mahendra Singh Dhoni ( O) Ravindra Jadeja ( 21) . It needed something special. And skipper superstar Virat Kohli took charge of the proceedings. Kohli was brilliant from the word go and went on to score a another fantastic hundred . His 40th . Astonishingly Kohli had scored  33 of them in winning cause.

It was a stunning innings from the best batsman in world cricket today. Kohli scored a fine 116 off 120 balls and added 81 for the fourth wicket with Vijay Shankar who scored 46 off 41 balls.

These two knocks helped India reach some target to defend . For Australia Pat Cummins was the star with 4/ 29

Chasing the India total, Australia fell too near yet so far as they could manage only 242 in 49. 3 overs. Skipper Fiunch battling poor form could only score 37, Usman Khawaja ( 38) , Peter Handscomb (48), India’s tormentor Glenn Maxwell fell early for 4. but Marcus Stoinis ( 52) , Alex Carey towards the end tried their best to get the Aussies over the line but could not.
For India , all – rounder Vijay Shankar held his nerves in the final over to bowl India to a thrilling win. Shankar took two wickets in the final over . His figures were 2/ 15 ( 1.3 overs) , Jasprit Bumrah (2/ 29 ), Kuldeep Yadav ( 3/ 54) ere the other wicket – takers.
