In A One-Sided Encounter, India Rout West Indies By 9 Wickets To Clinch Series 3-1
India clinched the ODI series against West Indies in style. Romping home by a convincing 9 wickets in the final and fifth ODI at Thiruvananthapuram.
Deciding to bat first after skipper Jason Holder won the toss , West Indies batting failed justify the skipper’s call and the line-up fell like pack of cards and were shot out for mere 104 I in 32 overs . Thus making mockery of the contest. Ravindra Jadeja was the wrecker – in chief with fine figures of 4 / 34.
In reply India were hardly troubled despite losing Shikhar Dhawan cheaply. Deputy Rohit Sharma in sublime form was unbeaten on 63 while skipper Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 33. India reached the target 105 for 1 with as many as 15 over to spare.
After a rather series, Team India will now depart for Australia later this month. And one expects in Australia tight contest unlike the one against The West Indies.
