Finally A Cabinet For Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Amidst Lockdown 2.0
Madhya Pradesh has been battling hard to contain the coronavirus. And nearly month after he took over as Chief Minister for the fourth time Shivraj Singh Chouhan has finally got a cabinet. This is the state’s first cabinet expansion and comes amidst COVID-19 and Lockdown 2.0.
The new ministers are – Narottam Mishra, Kamal Patel, Meena Singh, Tulsi Silawat and Govind Singh Rajput. Chouhan returned to the hot seat on March 23 after 22 Congress MLA’s along with Jyotiraditya Scindia quit the Congress and the joined the BJP. Thereby leading to the fall of the Kamla Nath government in the state .
The next round of expansion will be done likely in May. Chouhan faces a tough ask keeping the party loyalists and Congress leaders who are loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia happy .
