Celebrate the art of the Sadhya at the Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai, this Onam with 27 traditional dishes

Rooted in tradition and centred around togetherness, this Onam, Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai invites guests to gather around a traditional Kerala Sadhya and celebrate the festival on 22nd and 23rd August through an abundant spread of flavours featuring 27 traditional preparations at the Sesame restaurant.

It begins with the quiet crunch of sharkara varatti, upperi and chakka chips alongside pappadam, manga achar and injipulli, before the leaf fills with colour alongside the pineapple pachadi and beetroot pachaddi offering brightness against the deeper, coconut-laced comfort of aviyal, cabbage thoran, beans mezhukkupuratti, pumpkin erissery, elephant yam kalan, olan and kootu curry. A fragrant istew rounds out the vegetable preparations before kuthari choru, sambar, parippu, rasam and a tempered moru kaichiyathu arrive to anchor the meal. It closes, as any proper sadya must, on a sweet note with the palada pradhaman, semiya payasam and parippu payasam served in quick succession, each a study in milk, cardamom and jaggery.

More than a festive meal, the Onam Sadhya at Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai is an invitation to slow down, share a meal and experience the warmth of Kerala’s most cherished celebration.
