The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced that each member of the Indian women’s team will get Rs 50 Lakh each for their stupendous show at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.

India booked their place in the final by beating the defending and six-time champions Australia by 36 runs in the semi-final in Derby on Thursday. The Mithali Raj-led team will face England in the final – to be played at Lord’s on Sunday.

According to various media reporta, Earlier on Friday, BCCI acting president CK Khanna had announced that the India cricket board will reward the Women in Blue for their scintillating show and now they have kept their promise.

“BCCI will give reward to Women’s Cricket Team on their tremendous performance in World Cup. Match by match Indian team is performing so well now, we are proud of them particularly the knock played by Harmanpreet Kaur,” CK Khanna had said.

Harmanpreet Kaur produced one of greatest ever ODI knocks in women’s cricket as India stormed into the ICC World Cup final, demolishing Australia in semi-final on Thursday.

It is only the second time that India have entered the summit clash of the global event, having lost to Australia in the final of the 2005 edition. Skipper Mithali Raj and senior pacer Jhulan Goswami were part of the Indian team which had lost then in Centurion.

The ‘Women In Blue’ will meet hosts England in the final at the Lord’s. Mithali and Co. have already beaten England in the group stage of the tournament but they cannot commit the mistake of taking the hosts lightly as the final will a different affair altogether.
