Congress General secretary, Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has made a big charge against former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh. Priyanka sought to explain the change of leadership in Punjab, which had led to Singh quitting the Congress.

“We have had the Congress government in Punjab for last five years. But this government had stopped operating from Punjab, and instead was being operated from Delhi, not by the Congress but by the BJP,” said Vadra.

“That hidden nexus has come out in the open today. That is why we had to change that government,” the Congress general secretary added.

Channi had replaced Singh after he resigned from the post in September last year amid unending infighting in the party. Singh’s parting of the ways with the Congress was on a bitter note. Singh resigned as chief minister in September last year following a bitter power tussle with state Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Singh later floated his own political party and struck an alliance with the BJP.

She also attacked the Aam Aadmi Party, accusing it of doing nothing in Delhi and said its government has been a ‘failure.’

Vadra was addressing a Navi soch, nava Punjab public meeting in Kotakpura ahead of the upcoming Punjab assembly polls.
