India  came out with a fine all- round show to  beat Australia by 48 runs in the fourth T20I at Hobart to take a 2-1 series lead in the five- match series.  Aussie skipper MItchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first .

India openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India  flying start racing  to a total of  56 in 6.4 overs. Abhishek first to be out for 28. Gill impressed with his 46 .

Shivam Dube promoted up the order scored 22. India Skipper Suryakumar Yadav chipped in with 20 . Tilak Varma ( 5) , Jitesh Sharma ( 3 ) fell early as India in  an attempt to push on lost wickets quickly. Axar patel played a handy cameo of 21  as India  finished at 167/8in their 20 overs.

Aussie Bowling : Ben Dwarshuis 0/31 ( 4 overs) , Xavier Bartlett 1/26 ( 4 overs) , Nathan Ellis was the pick of the bolwers with fine figures 3/21 ( 4 overs) , Marcus Stoinis 1/41 ( 4 overs) , Adam Zampa 3/45 ( 4 overs)

In reply , Australia with Travis Head meant pressure. And that happened  .  Aussie batsmen got starts but could not carry on . And regular wickets pegged them down. Skipper Mitchell Marsh ( 30), Matthew Short ( 25), Josh Inglis ( 12), the dangerous Tim David ( 14), Josh Philippe ( 10), Marcus Stoinis ( 17) . Glenn Maxwell’s much awaited return was no goood either out for just 2.  Aussie chase was never on . Indian bowlers kept the pressue and Australia  were finally bowled out for 119/10 in 18. 2 overs.
