Arun Jaitley on a 3-day visit to Russia set to enhance ties
Defence Minister Arun Jaitley will make a visit to Russia on June 21-23 to co-chair two meetings with the Government of the Russian Federation, the Indian High Commission in Moscow said on Monday.
“On June 21, Jaitley will co-chair the first meeting of the India-Russia High Level Committee on Science and Technology with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. The meeting will be held on the sidelines of the Technoprom exhibition in the city of Novosibirsk,” the commission said in a statement.
The Defence Minister will also address the main Plenary Session of Technoprom, which is a major annual science, technology and innovation exhibition of Russia, the statement said.
In another meeting on June 23, Jaitley will co-chair the 17th meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation in Moscow with Russian Defence Minister General Sergei Shoigu.
“The meeting will review the entire range of military and military-technical cooperation issues between India and Russia within the framework of the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia.”
