Army gun down all 3 JeM militants who attacked the BSF camp in Srinagar
In a daring attack suspected fidayeen members attacked the Border Security Force (BSF) 182nd Battalion camp near the Srinagar International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday. In the fierce encounter, an Assistant Sub-Inspector was killed and four security personnel injured in the attack. The forces gunned down all the three militants as well.
The camp is located at the first entrance of the Srinagar International airport which is also an Air Force base. Sources say the militants entered the camp in army fatigue and were loaded with automatic weapons and grenades.

Militant group Jaish e Mohammed who have claimed the attack as reported by PTI, on the BSF facility, comes a little over a month after an identical incident in the state capital’s police lines on August 26 when 8 security personnel were killed by the outfit.
Sources said it was the “Afzal Guru squad” of the banned organisation which has been involved in such attacks.
The same group was also involved in one of the deadliest attack on an army installation in Uri in September 2016, in which 18 soldiers lost their lives.
The airport, which was initially cordoned off, was re-opened for civilians flying out of Srinagar. Flight services resumed as well. Schools in the vicinity, however, will remain closed on Tuesday.
