Another Encounter : Indian, Chinese Troops Clashed In Sikkim’s Naku La, Injuries On Both Sides
A clash between Indian and Chinese armies in Sikkim’s Naku La took place last last week according to various media reports. In the face-off it is learnt that soldiers on both sides were injured after a PLA patrol party attempted to come into Indian territory and was physically blocked.
India and China are locked in an eight-month-long bitter border standoff in eastern Ladakh that has significantly strained hit their bilateral ties . Both sides held a series of diplomatic and military talks to resolve the row. However, no breakthrough has been achieved so far.
The latest incident in- fact came just before the ninth round of military-level talks between the neighbours over the Ladakh standoff.
The ninth round of Corps Commander Level talks between India and China ended at 2:30 am on Monday.
The meeting lasted for more than 15 hours after starting at 11 am on Sunday at Moldo opposite Chushul in the Eastern Ladakh sector .
