Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has once again put the Congress party in a tight spot. Just days away from voting on October 21 for the two assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra, Rahul had apparently left for a foreign trip once again.

Some media reports say Bangkok while others say Cambodia. Whatever location it may be , But Rahul has this uncanny ability to surprise even his own party men when he goes abroad. And the timing has always put him and the party in trouble .

An embattled Congress , already facing dissent in Haryana and Maharashtra struggled hard to defend Rahul Gandhi’s latest foreign sojourn.

Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi came out in defence of Rahul Gandhi. In a tweet he said that “the personal should not be mixed with the public life of an individual. We need to entitle everybody an eternal sense of liberty and privacy.”

“After all, this is the basic and outlining principle of progressive and liberal democracy,” Singhvi said.
