A Jolt For Trinamool Congress, Former India Football Skipper Bhaichung Bhutia Quits Party
The ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal has got a jolt yet again. After one of its key members and a close aide of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Mukul Roy left the party, another prominent face has quit the party. This it is learnt for various media reports that former India football skipper Bhaichung Bhutia has snapped his ties with the TMC.
Bhutia took to Twitter to announce his decision where he said, “I am no longer a member or associated with any political party in India.”

The former striker quit professional football in 2011 and joined the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC in 2013 to try his luck in the political arena.
